USRI works closely with industries and businesses to develop strategies to implement unmanned system solutions into their market and product line by advancing technology solutions, shaping policy, and building skills and competencies that promote and utilize UAS for their companies mission. In addition to disruptive activities such as transportation, unmanned systems will be an indispensable inspection tool across a wide array of businesses from agriculture and livestock management to oil, gas, and wind. In line with state and national priorities, USRI has focused on energy and critical infrastructure inspections as a core area and is working closely with companies such as GE and CEC. USRI is also leading the way by providing educational resources for entrepreneurs both in person and through distance education.
